10월의 첫날이네.
오늘 블로그에 소개할 무지션은 캐나다 출신의 재즈 싱어, 피아니스트인 Diana Krall.
국내에서도 알 사람은 다 안다지. (한 99년도 쯤 부터 약간씩 알려지기 시작했다)

음악인 가족에서 태어나서, 4살때부터 피아노를 치고 15살 때부터 로컬 레스토랑들에서 공연을 시작했다.
그러면서 그 공연들을 우연찮게 보게된 Ray Brown과 Jeff Hamilton이 Diana를 LA로 오라고 부추겼고
LA간 Diana는 거기서 Jimmy Rowles밑에서 피아노와 노래를 배웠다.

그래미의 8번 노미네이트 됐고, 2번 (1999 - Jazz Vocal Performance, 2002- Best Jazz Vocal Album) 상을 타기도 했고 다운비트 어워드, 예술가를 위한 올해의 상등 많은 상을 석권하기도 했다.

블로그에 올려진 앨범은, Verve사가 그녀의 Best만 모아서 출판한 앨범이다.

미국산 노래부르는 분이시라네.

부모님들이 소위말하는 '히피족'이셔서, 음악이 그쪽 영향을 많이 받은듯하다.
미국서 쭈욱~ 살다가, 부모님이 이혼하신 후에 엄마를 따라서 파리로 이민을 가셨덴다.

Careless Love는 Peyroux의 2004년도 앨범.
트랙 2- Don't Wait Too Long은 Dockers광고음악에 쓰이기도 하였다.
2번트랙만 빼고 다른 모든 트랙들은 cover versions (이미 있는곡들을 다시 부르는 것)이랜다.
